The Northview musician of the week is senior violinist Morgan Shephard. Morgan plays violin in the Chamber Orchestra. She has represented Northview at OMEA District Orchestra, and at the BGSU and University of Toledo High School String Festivals. Morgan performs regularly at Solo and Ensemble. In addition to her musical activities, Morgan has been a member of the pit orchestra for Northview’s previous summer musical, Little Women, and participated in ensemble for Northview’s fall production of Mamma Mia! After graduation; Morgan will attend an undecided college to major in Biology. Morgan is the daughter of Chris Shephard.
The Northview musician of the week is senior violist Allison Li. Allison plays viola in the
Chamber. She has represented Northview at OMEA Regional and District Orchestra, and is a
member of the Greater Toledo Symphony Youth Orchestra. Allison has been a member of the
Northview String Quartet, and performs regularly at Solo and Ensemble. In addition to her
musical activities, Allison has been a member of the Speech and Debate, ARK, and NCompass.
After graduation, Allison will attend college for an undecided major. A private student of Yang
Kun Song, Allison is the daughter of Man Chan and Vince Li.
The Northview Musician of the Week is senior Lily DelVerne, daughter of Mark and Stacy DelVerne. Lily sings alto in the Northview A Cappella Choir and Harmony Road Show. Outside of Northview, Lily’s musical activities include singing on her church’s worship teams and playing piano at forté music school. Apart from her musical activities, Lily is involved in Northview Leadership Academy and National Honors Society.
The Northview Musician of the Week is senior Patrick Osinski, son of Nancy and Tom Osinski. Patrick sings baritone in the Northview A Cappella Choir. Patrick has also been an active member of the Northview Theatre Department. This Fall he is portraying the role of Mike in Northview’s production of “Working.” Previous roles include Winthrop in The Music Man, Gavroche in Les Miserables, and John Brooke in Little Women the Musical. Apart from his musical activities, Patrick is involved in NHS and Earth Club.
The Northview Musician of the Week is senior Peyton Siegel, daughter of Josh and Meghan Siegel. Peyton sings soprano in the Northview A Cappella Choir, Harmony Road Show, and Northview Chorus. Peyton has been an active member of the Northview Theatre Department. Her previous roles include Meg March in Little Women, Sophie Sheridan in Mamma Mia, Miss Wiley/Mrs. Fryer in Radium Girls, Lindsay in Godspell, and Maggie Holmes in Working. Apart from her musical activities, Peyton is the Choir Historian, Drama Club Historian, and Glamour Gals Treasurer.
Senior, Ryan Sanderson, is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Ryan has been an involved and talented member of the Northview Band all four years of high school. Ryan has also demonstrated leadership and great musicianship throughout his time at Northview. Most notably, as this year’s drumline section leader and band officer (Treasurer), Ryan has led both his older and younger peers with an inclusive and calm demeanor. Ryan has been a member of Marching Band, Pep Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Cats, Jazz Band, Pit Orchestra, and participated in the Lourdes University Honors Band. In addition to his music activities, Ryan is also involved in Science Olympiad and the NASA Student Launch Team. Ryan is the son of Guy and Gina Sanderson.
Senior Kaitlynn Owens is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Kaitlynn has been an important member of the Wildcat Marching Band all four years of high school. With her strong musical skills she helps as a leader and strong player in the drumline of the Wildcat Marching Band and concert band programs. In addition to her calm and dedicated approach in being prepared with her own music, she is often seen leading and helping younger students in her section to improve their skills. Kaitlynn has been a member of the Wind Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band, studies privately with Justin Fujka, and has participated in OMEA festival events and Solo & Ensemble. Kaitlynn is also actively involved in National Honors Society. Next year, she is majoring in music education at an undecided university. Kaitlynn is the daughter of Bruce and Heather Owens.
Senior, Eve Gross, is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Eve has been an outstanding member of the Northview Band Program all four years of high school. Eve has demonstrated the highest level of musicianship and leadership throughout her career here at Northview. This year, as a field commander, Eve has been a tremendous leader to the band. Her positive attitude and wonderful playing add an immeasurable quality to the band program. Eve has been a member of; Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, played in the Symphony Orchestra and has participated in multiple Honors bands & OMEA festival events. Next year, she plans on continuing her musical career as a Music Education major. Eve is also involved in National Honors Society, Student Council, is the sports editor for The Student Prints, and is a LINK Leader. Eve is the daughter of Michele and Gary Gross.
Senior Jadon Thompson is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Jadon has been an important member of the Northview Band program all four years of high school. With his positive attitude and musical skills he not only helps lead the Wildcat Marching Band as a field commander, but also is a leader in our Choir program as well. Jadon has played bass clarinet, baritone sax, tenor sax and been field commander as a member of the Northview Marching Band, Pep Band, , Symphonic Band, Jazz Band & Wind Ensemble. Jadon also sings in the Northview Chorus, A cappella Choir, and Harmony Roadshow. In addition to his musical activities, Jadon is also a founder of the A cappella quartet “SumFour.” Jadon is the son of Christopher and Jennifer Thompson.
Senior, Ian Weil, is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Ian has been an outstanding member of the Northview Music Department; band, orchestra, & choir. As this year’s student officer, Band President, Ian has been a great resource to the directors and leadership for our students in the band. Ian has been a member of the Northview Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Pep Bands, Jazz Bands, Symphony Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, A Cappella Choir, Harmony Roadshow, Academy Orchestra, North Covers and has participated in numerous regional honors ensembles and OMEA honors and festival events. Ian is also involved in the Theatre Department. Ian is the son of Marty and Melanie Weil.
